A purple and gold silithid this mount was unique not only for it’s legendary status, but because it was the only silithid mount usable outside of the Ahn’Qiraj raid. The reward for being the first player to ring the gong on each realm was the Black Qiraji Battle Tank, the first (and only) legendary mount ever available to players. The gong could only be rung by players who had completed a long questline that took them through the previous two raids (Molten Core and Blackwing Lair) and made them kill deadly world bosses like Doctor Weavil, all while racing against other players on their realm. This marked the opening of the gates of Ahn’Qiraj and the beginning of the Alliance and Horde’s war with the Qiraji Empire which culminated in the death of the Old God C’Thun in the Ahn’Qiraj raid. January 21-23rd marks the Call of the Scarab, an in game event commemorating the first ringing of the Scarab Gong. At the moment I’m after the Ultramarine Qiraji Battle Tank, The Fox Kit, “Pony Up!”, and Gearing up my alts just like everyone else.Hiding beneath the sands of Silithus the remnants of the Qiraji empire scuttle to and fro. But honestly, what I’ve been doing to make gold is simple. I’m sure when Mists of Pandaria comes out gold will be a lot easier to make (unless its going to be a daily grind…). So! I’ve been asked, “Hey, Zyra, how do you make gold now other than playing with professions and the auction house?” I currently don’t have that great of a tip. You can now find up to 6 to 8 fragments per digsite rather than 3 to 4! Hurray □ !Īnother sad thing I found about this patch is that it nerfed raid gold! Some BC raid bosses used to drop 250 – 300 gold per boss! Even mobs dropped 1 gold each! But now each boss drops around 8 – 16 gold and it takes looting about 5 – 10 mobs to add up to 1 gold piece.
